The CHART II system will provide an administrative subsystem for the system administrator to perform general housekeeping functions such as setting up and maintaining user accounts and system parameters. The subsystem will enable the system administrator to perform the following duties from his/her workstation:
- Create new users
- Assign users to access levels
- Define user access levels by allowing or disallowing access to subsystems
- Set screen colors and default views
- Define and divide the State into user responsibility zones and system access rights on a time-of-day basis.
- Set detection alarm thresholds and configurations
- Query all devices for health status
- Set units of measure for the system
- Schedule specific reports to run at specified times
- Terminate processes controlling subsystems or legacy systems at a workstation without affecting subsystem legacy systems on other workstations
- Deliver software upgrades on local workstations on WAN from a central delivery point
- Start and stop individual subsystems from a remote location
- Configure system controller to notify designated operators of system failures
