4.2 System Requirements

The process of decomposing the requirements derived from MDSHA’s CHART II Software Functional Requirements document, interviews and site visits is described in this section. As described earlier, an iterative requirements identification, analysis, and management process is the most effective method for ensuring system development based on cooperation and partnership between MDSHA and the CSC/PBFI Team. Requirements will continue to be introduced throughout the life cycle of the project, and the process used in this design runoff stage will serve as a strong foundation to continue managing requirements after the contract award has been made.
